| Dr. Gary Glass, Chair Phone: (337) 482-6184 Email: gag7541@louisiana.edu The Radiation Safety Committee had the overall responsibility to see that University programs that utilize radioactive materials or that involve sources of radiation are carried out in accord with the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, Environmental Regulatory Code Title 33, Part LV, Radiation Protection (LA DEQ XV). The committee reviews protocols involving radioactive materials or the production of radiation. It is responsible for the inspection of laboratories used in such research and the Radiation Safety Officer must approve purchases of radioactive materials. |
