Limited Submission Programs

Some programs limit the number of applications that may be submitted by an institution. Before you write your proposal, contact Ruth Landry in the Office of Research & Sponsored Programs at 337-482-5811 or rwl@louisiana.edu well in advance of the due date to obtain information regarding the internal selection process. She will provide you with the date by which a pre-proposal must be submitted to the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs and information about the expected content of the pre-proposal. The office will conduct a selection process to determine which applications will be submitted from UL Lafayette.

Listed below are instructions on current limited submission programs for which an internal competition has been announced.

If interest exceeds allowable submissions for an award, the Office of Research & Sponsored Programs will announce an internal competition and set a deadline for internal pre-proposals. A sample internal pre-proposal might include:
• Working title of proposal
• Principal investigator name/e-mail address/phone number
• Co-principal investigators
• Curriculum vita of each investigator
• Department chair name/e-mail address
• Dean/Director name/e-mail address
• Agency deadline
• One page budget (salary, benefits, equipment, travel, etc.) including any proposed cost sharing commitments
• Two- to three-page project description, single spaced
