II. Office of Research and Sponsored Programs

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) handles applications for and the administration of externally funded grants and programs for the university.  It provides support and resources for UL Lafayette investigators involved in these externally funded projects.  The office is also charged with assisting in intellectual property matters and helping the university maintain compliance with federal, state, and other regulations and requirements.

We are located in Room 338 in Martin Hall, and can be contacted at 2-5811 or at ORSP@louisiana.edu.  Our web site is located at http://orsp.louisiana.edu/.

B. Resources Available through ORSP Website

The ORSP Web site (http://orsp.louisiana.edu/) includes a collection of resources designed to help you develop grant proposals and manage your externally funded projects.  It includes university policies related to grants and sponsored research, links to many pertinent federal, state, and private funding agencies’ sites, links to electronic funding search engines, and downloadable forms required for the management of your project.  ORSP also posts information on new requests for proposals (RFPs) and other funding opportunities on its Web site.
