The Louisiana Board of Regents has issued the Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
for the upcoming Board of Regents Support Fund (BORSF) 2008-09 with the
exception of the RFP for the Traditional and Undergraduate Enhancement Program.
The RFP for that program will be released within the next week. The RFPs
and forms can be accessed from the Board of Regents website.
In planning for the upcoming competitions, the Office of Research and Sponsored
Programs (RCS) has scheduled a workshop to assist faculty members in preparing
their proposals. This workshop will be held on Tuesday, August 26,
2008, from 1:30 - 3:30 PM in Room 112 of the Advanced Computer
Technology and Research Hall (the new Computer Science Building). This workshop
will provide a brief overview of each program to be followed by small group
discussions with the program managers from the Board of Regents. The links
below include details of the workshop session, a description of each program
to be covered, and the disciplines that are eligible for the 2008-09 cycle.
Information about important internal deadlines for submission of proposals
is also in the links below.
Please note that the Research Competitiveness Subprogram (RCS) and the Industrial
Ties Research Subprogram (ITRS) require a Notice of Intent. Notices of Intent
for both programs will be due to ORSP during the first week of September
