| Recently, the Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies
revised the Contract for Professional or Consultant Services form (also
known as the Contract for Personal, Professional, or Consultant Services
form). This document should be used to arrange for the services of an independent
contractor to provide specific tasks related to a sponsored research project.
Previous versions of the form will no longer be accepted. Questions about
the revised contract form can be directed to Nina Bienvenu at 2-6541 or
nrb@louisiana.edu. In addition, the Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies instituted a policy for the request of an advance/pre-award account. The policy and procedures are detailed in the document: Request for Advance/Pre-Award Account: Policy and Procedures. This document provides information about when a request for an Advance or Pre-Award account would be appropriate, and the criteria that will be used by the administration in determining whether such an account will be issued. To request an advance/pre-award account, you must complete the Request for Advance/Pre-Award Account Form.
