The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) is an arm of the
Office
of the Vice President for Research. It has both pre-award and many post
award responsibilities. ORSP assists UL Lafayette investigators in many
ways to secure outside funding for research and other activities. It helps
investigators learn about funding opportunities, conceptualize and prepare
grant proposals, secure University approval for proposals, and submit proposals
for funding. In some cases, the office assists in developing proposal concepts
and collaborative relationships within and outside the University.
After a proposal is funded, the office is responsible for a number of tasks.
These include reviewing and processing contractual agreements, addressing
implementation problems that affect the University, approving changes in
budget, personnel, or other contractual provisions, dealing with compliance
questions, and assisting with technology transfer and other related issues.
ORSP has created this web site to help accomplish many of these responsibilities.
By doing so, the office hopes to increase opportunities for UL Lafayette
investigators to successfully secure outside funding for their research
and related responsibilities, and successfully administer their grants.
This site contains recent news
pertinent to funding and research.
There are resources for
finding funding sources and links to many important web sites for downloading
proposal guidelines.
Researchers can also find University policies
and procedures and other pertinent information about the proposal submission
and review process on these pages.
Investigators can now use the web site to download forms
such as the UL Lafayette Internal Proposal
Approval Forms and other administrative forms for sponsored program
management. Information also can be found on University Review Committees.
All web site users will find background
information on the University is here along with information about the ORSP
staff, profiles
of UL Lafayette researchers, and also a listing of recent research grant
awards.
There are links to many other web sites scattered throughout these pages.
